Cameras like the RICOH THETA X, Labpano, and Insta360 X6 can publish a stream on their own. You paste a TRaX ingest key into the camera and it appears as a live input, with no phone or computer in the middle.
Reliable
Plug it in as a webcam
Most Insta360 and RICOH cameras connect over USB as a standard 360 webcam. In the studio it becomes a normal camera source, delivering the full spherical image.
App-based
Go live from the camera app
Some cameras stream through the maker’s phone app. Point that app at your TRaX ingest and the feed arrives in your studio like any other source.

HDR
Worth setting expectations: every current 360 camera streams standard dynamic range on its live feed, even the few that record HDR to the card (the Insta360 X6, GoPro MAX2, and Kandao QooCam 3 Ultra keep HDR to recording only). TRaX carries HDR end to end where a source delivers it and tone-maps to each destination. Today that means our 10-bit capture paths, not a 360 camera.
Live reframing
On the roadmapBecause a 360 camera sends the whole sphere, an operator will be able to pan, tilt, and zoom a virtual camera inside that sphere while you are live: one immersive feed driving several framed shots. We are building it now.
